I use photography and video to express emotions, our human conditioning, the layers of our perceptions. I have always been interested in drawing bodies which then moved into photographing the body, whether in dance or just the shapes the body makes, bringing that into the digital world and then back again to its origins on paper.

We don’t have a body, we are our bodies – it’s how we interact and interpret the world.

Other subjects I love to photograph and create videos from is water. It’s near water that I feel calm, safe, nourished and happy to be alone. I love the sound of the ocean and rain. I enjoy how water distorts our vision on glass and the power of water when it is loud and almost indistinguishable as water. A natural hubbub of noise.

There are also many visual gems in our suburban and urban environments. Some are images of ordinary places we pass by every day but don’t see them beyond their immediate purpose.  Some are well known. I love recording the shapes, the colours, lines.
